The 33 rd annual Jazz Guest Artist Concert is this Friday at 7:30 pm in Spangenberg. Come hear New York saxophonist Loren Schoenberg play with the Gunn Bitg Band Jazz Ensemble featuring Tommy Van Duyne, Ron Ackner, Lydia Cox, Jacob Guggenheim, Mark Xu, Paul Eschbach and David Khavari. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door.

National Poetry Month is coming and Gunn Library plans to celebrate! The Library is collecting original works of poetry from staff and students, to be displayed during April. Bring a hard copy of your poem to Ms. O in the library by April 2.

Prom tickets are now on sale online or in the SAC. Prom is April 24 at the Exploratorium in San Francisco! Visit the SAC or Student Activities website for all things Prom. Ticket prices go up after April 2, and the last day to purchase them is April 9 (before Spring Break) so don’t delay!

Juniors: find out your college readiness now! Take the Early Assessment Test on March 23. This is a voluntary 45-minute essay that can help you know where you stand in college preparation. The essay is in L-4 at 2:15 pm. Sign up with Mr. Lubbe in the Main Office.

The Academic Center and Library are partnering for Gunn’s new Writing Lab. We’re looking for students who excel in writing to perform writing coaching duties. We’re also looking for students to serve as President and Vice President of this new program. Receive community service hours or TA credit! Come by the Library or AC to inquire about the application process.

Register to vote! The Palo Alto League of Women Voters will be on campus tomorrow and Wednesday to register students who are least 17 to vote. You need your driver’s license or the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Juniors interested in taking next year’s AP College English course may pick up information in L31. The deadline has been extended and completed application portfolios are now due by 3:15 pm April 2.
