Joining a club at Gunn is a fun and easy way to get involved in campus life as well as explore new and favorite interests! Whether your passion is for service or robots, Anime or music, Gunn has a club for you. Check out the list of Gunn's chartered clubs - if you do not see a club that interests you, you might consider starting your own club using our Club Application Form:

Advisor Confirmation and Signature Sheet

New Clubs who charter in Fall 2009 have until October 30th to submit a Club Constitution.

ALL CLUBS: If you wish to do any fundraising or otherwise plan to collect money, you need to fill out a Financial Plan Form!

 

IMPORTANT: Clubs may only be chartered two times a year, so be aware of application deadlines! If you miss the fall deadline, you may charter your club in Spring.

Clubs must be student-run organizations whose purpose is to promote a particular idea or activity and must have completed a Charter Application. In order to comply with the State of California, all Gunn Clubs have certain guidelines that they are required to follow. The following is a list of these guidelines so your club can have a healthy and successful life at Gunn:

Club Privileges Include:

Participating in Club Days and Club Events.

Making announcements about your club in the daily bulletin and TBN.

Using SAO butcher paper and paints for club activities.

Posting advertising on campus for events.

Holding meetings on the Gunn campus.

Participating in School-Wide events, such ans rallies and assemblies.

Using campus facilities at little or no charge.

Holding Club fundraisers or events that solicit the Gunn population. (Fundraiser Application Here!)

Submitting photos to Gunn's yearbook.

Mandatory Requirements: All Clubs need to complete the following:

    • Club Charter Application (see links above)
    • Club Constitution (download this template for how to write)
    • Club Budget Plan (Ed Code 48932 - only if planning to collect money for anything)

Each club needs to have at least one teacher (in accordance with Ed Code 48933) and at least six student signatures.

The teacher, as club advisor, must be present at all club events, especially those happening off campus.  This includes weekly meetings during school hours, anything happening on campus after school or on a weekend, and field trips scheduled off campus during school or after school hours.

Clubs may not engage in potentially dangerous activities that could lead to the injury of one of their members.

Clubs need to choose a president and treasurer and need to communicate regularly with the Diversity Commissioners and Student Body Treasurer regarding events and fundraising.

CLUB EVENTS AND FIELD TRIPS: Many of our clubs hold fundraising events or other projects on campus, as well as host field trips for their club.
